The Muncie Minute 10/27/08

Welcome to The Muncie Minute! I apologize for this extremely late edition this week. Life is crazy sometimes as you all know. My goal every week is to have this out for everyone to read by Sunday afternoon/early evening, so you all know what is going on for the week.

I would like to welcome all new employees to Muncie! We have had a few this week and a couple have become quite active on the forum! Keep it up! Just a reminder that we do have a MySpace page, YouTube account, and a website for you to use to promote DMI-Muncie. If you have a MySpace page or YouTube account I encourage you to link your own page or account to the DMI-Muncie one. Speaking of the DMI-Muncie website, The Muncie Minute will be published on our very own website starting next week. So, look for it there next Sunday.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Hoskins for being named Employee of the Week! Hoskins now has a new certificate to display at his desk. This week craigdvc, Arielemc, and alexb18 are up for EOTW. Please remember to stop by and vote.

Congratulations are in order to SchruteFarm1 and Stanley the Manley55 for making Private 1st Class in Rising Through the Ranks! You can earn points in our incentive program by posting 50 times in a one week, winning branch tasks, getting all available SB, and many other ways. Stop by the New Award Incentive Program to check it out!

Tasks
This week we were given the task of finding all the stolen objects in the office. A list is available at the Task 2.5 thread. I would like to thank anikitty for compiling the list into one easy to read post! There are 250 SB available for this task and we have made it easy for you to earn them! You have until Thursday, Oct. 30th at 3pm ET.

We are still waiting to hear the winner of the Mission Statement company wide vote. Good luck to SchruteFarm1.Bold We are also waiting on the results of our logo winner. Hopefully we will hear about these soon!

What's Happening?
Stanley has created the Welcoming Committee for our branch. The members are appointed and the first two are SchruteFarm1 and myself, lemonlime79. If you are interested in this committee please contact Stanley and just start welcoming newbies as you see them posting and let them know what is going on here in Muncie.

We have some discussion in the FTC: Television thread. Arielemc and Stanley have offered their television viewing selections. Craigdvc has offered his knowledge on Disney, Star Wars, and comic books in the Finer Things Club Call-out thread. Hoskins and SchruteFarm1 have also continued their conversation on beer. Please if you have anything to add to these topics or others to start, feel free to share your thoughts or expertise.

DMI-Muncie celebrated its one year birthday on Saturday, Oct. 25th! Happy Birthday Muncie!!

To Everyone!
Once again I am going to urge everyone to stop by the branch recruitment thread: http://boards.dundermifflininfinity.com/index.php?showtopic=12982. It's very important to grow our branch and get more people active here.

A shout out to the the Ball State football team! They are #19 in the Coaches' Poll, #18 in the AP poll and #16 in the BCS standings! I don't know if many of you know how exciting this is for BSU, but this the best this football team has ever been! Keep it up Cards!

Don't forget to earn all the SB's you can. Complete this week's task and watch this week's episode of The Office. If you haven't seen the clips for this week, there are costumes for the Halloween episode and they look hilarious, but what do you expect?!

Have a great week everyone and I'll see you next week on the website!!

From the Desk of the Regional Manager

Sorry for the delay on this weeks message. My weekend was busy and hectic, and I didn't get around to sending out the message. Okay, let's get started!

First off make sure you're doing the tasks and getting your ShruteBucks! You can go back and do past task from DMI 2.0 only. That is always a great way to earn Sb when you're new. If you don't want anyone to see your task submission for whatever reason, just wait until after the deadline and submit your task and you'll get the Sb.

Come by the branch forum! We have a bunch of people that have stopped coming into the forum for some reason. We all want you to come by the forum and play in some of the games! If you're new introduce yourself in the "Meet&Greet" topic.

Muncie celebrates its 1st birthday on Oct. 25, 2008! Come by the forum sometime that day and celebrate Muncie's birthday!

Remember that the Muncie branch has a a MySpace, YouTube, Website, and Facebook! If you come into the forum you can get links to those places. Our newsletter is on Blogger, so give that a read. Written by our own lemonlime79!

Congrats to Davey who was our Employee of the Week this past week. Come into the branch forum and at the top of the forum there is a poll that you can vote in that decides who will be EOTW for that week. I will pick the candidates off what I see them doing, but if your not coming around the branch forum then you probably won't get noticed. So if you want to be picked for EOTW then come by the forum!

All of our committees and clubs need your help! Come join either the Party Planning Committee, Branch Promotion Committee, Welcoming Committee, Finer Things Club, or our Newsletter Committee. DaveyMalone69 and mike1104 have been missing for sometime now. If they do not return by Friday Oct. 24, 2008 then I will need to start looking for new Chairpersons for their committees.

Come and join our "Rise through the Ranks" points incentive program.

On Sunday Oct. 26 at 7pm we'll meet in the branch forum and play a live action Office Jeopardy game! If you consider yourself and Office master, come prove it on Sunday night.

We will meet on Muncie's website in the chat room to have a branch meeting on Monday Oct. 27 and 6:30pm. The branch executives will meet sometime soon as well.

Have your Mini-Task submission ready by Monday Oct. 27 to begin voting! Your task is to create some sort of advertisement for the Muncie branch, to get people to join! It can be anything to promote Muncie. Any questions consult the thread in the branch forum.

Of coarse I remind you that if you want to leave DMI you can now delete your account.

Think that's all for the week! See you around the forums!

What's Happening?
The Finer Things Club has had quite a discussion this week about beer and wine. There has been a lot of great information given out by Hoskins, SchruteFarm1 and PollyProject. Did you know they are nearly 40 wineries in the state of Indiana? Who knew?! The Finer Things Club is always looking for new topics to discuss or stop by and add your two cents to any topics currently being discussed.
I encourage everyone to get involved with the committees on the forum. DaveyMalone69 is your contact for the Finer Things Club, contact Mike1104 for Branch Recruitment, and look up PollyProject for the Party Planning Committee. We can't be the best branch at DMI without U.

Tasks
Our new task this week is Guess the Baby. You must match each picture with an employee at the Scranton branch. You earn 20 SB for every correct guess, with a total of 260 SB available. Please look carefully and you can go back and change your answer before your final submission. It's an easy way to earn some SB!

We still need to work on out videos for the Ethics Video task. You have until Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at Noon ET to submit your video. If you need help or have a question on submitting please go here on the forum: http://boards.dundermifflininfinity.com/index.php?showtopic=16570.

The deadline for the Branch Mini-Task: Branch Recruitment Advertisements has been extended to Oct. 27 at 4 pm ET. Show us how creative you are and design something for each of the categories: Banners for signatures, Posters to post in the recruitment thread, Videos, or something else you can think of to promote Muncie! We will be voting on the winner and he or she will receive a desk prize and points in Rising Through the Ranks.

The branch winner of the ASCII art task was suppose to be named in Friday, Oct. 17th. The winner has not yet been posted, so be on the look out Monday for someone to be named. Good luck bmblebee!

The branch winner of the Mission Statement task was SchruteFarm1. Congrats to you!! You have until Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6 pm ET to vote for the company wide winner. Good luck Schrute!

You have until 3pm ET Monday, Oct. 20 to vote on the new branch logo. The winner of the new logo will go up against the old branch logo to determine what the logo will be for our branch for DMI 2.0. Please take a minute to vote for your favorite and look out for the next round of voting!

To Everyone
Please take a minute and stop by the Muncie Branch Recruitment thread: http://boards.dundermifflininfinity.com/index.php?showtopic=12982. Tell everyone why Muncie is so awesome and why you like it here so much. Who knows, we might convince some people to transfer.

I hope everyone has a great week and earns as many SB as possible! Keep posting in the forum, stopping by and saying "hi" to co-workers, and doing tasks! I hope to see everyone this week at one point or another on the forum!! Once again, any comments or suggestions please contact me, lemonlime79.

Our Branch Mini Task is to promote Muncie! We can create posters, banners, videos, whatever you want to get Muncie's name out there. ***Addition*** Congrats to ShruteFarm1 on being Employee of the Week!! Please remember to vote on our next EOTW starting Monday!

From the Desk of the Regional Manager:

Hello Muncie employees, your regional manager here, Stan_the_Man55! I will make my weekly post to give all of you an idea on how the last week went and what will be going on the in the next week. Let's get started.

All of our committees and clubs seem to be doing a great job. The newsletter is going, the Finer Things Club discussions are going great, the Party Planning is going slowly but surely, and the Branch Promotion Committee is having a slow start but hopefully this weeks Mini-Task will help them out. They all need some people who are officially on the committee. So if you're interested, sign-up!

Our first Mini-Task is to create an advertisement for the branch. It can be a video, signature banner, poster, anything that gets Muncie's face out there!

The new task this week is to create an ethics video for Dunder Mifflin. I want to see creative, good videos, nothing of your dog for 3 seconds just to get the Sb.

We have our MySpace and now Muncie is on YouTube! myspace.com/dmi_muncie. youtube.com/DMIMuncie. A website devoted to Muncie may even be coming soon.

Our Muncie Only Monday's are going great! NBC has not been very good at all about putting up the new episodes. We have now watched all of the episodes available together as a branch. "Goodbye Toby" is the only episode we haven't watched on Mondays (we watched it Thursday night before the premiere). I don't know if we'll just keep re-watching all of the same episodes or I had the idea to watch the episodes on the regular player, then use another chat website to chat together. I'll have to see once Monday comes.

The "Award Incentive Program" is going strong with mike1104, lemonlime79, and myself being promoted to the level of Private. Congrats you two! If there is ANYONE that would be willing to compile the stats for me every week that would be GREAT! The program also needs a real name, so I'm also taking suggestions for names.

I think that's all for the week. On Saturday Oct. 25, 2008 the DMI Muncie branch celebrates its 1 year birthday. There will be some festivities for this momentous occasion. I hope to see everyone active in getting in their ShruteBucks and posting a lot in the forum!

-Stan_the_Man55. Regional Manager.
